UAE: How former drug convicts can cancel deportation order

UAE residents who have been deported after being convicted of personal drug use and possession can now submit a plea to the public prosecution under the new anti-narcotics law to return to the country. The new law cancels the previous mandatory deportation of drug offenders, giving the court an increased jurisdiction to refer first-time drug offenders to rehabilitation instead of a prison term.

 

UAE: Sharjah issues resolution on traffic fines, fees for 2022

Sharjah issued a resolution for traffic fines and fees on Tuesday in a meeting of the Executive Council. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) , and in the presence of Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, chaired the weekly meeting of SEC, on Tuesday, in the office of Sharjah Ruler.

Dubai travel: Emirates to launch daily Tel Aviv flights from June 23

Emirates has confirmed that it will be commencing daily services to Tel Aviv from June 23, 2022. Emirates will operate its three-class Boeing 777-300ER on the route, featuring eight private suites in First Class, 42 lie flat seats in Business Class and 304 spacious seats in Economy Class.

Coronavirus: UAE reports 280 Covid-19 cases, 947 recoveries, no deaths

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday reported 280 cases of the Covid-19 coronavirus, along with 947 recoveries and no deaths.

Total active cases stand at 30,428.

The new cases were detected through 254,579 additional tests.

UAE: Woman delivers baby in ambulance on way to hospital

A woman in the UAE gave birth to a baby girl inside an ambulance. Medics of the National Ambulance assisted in the delivery as the woman was being rushed to the Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman.

Taking to Instagram, the National Ambulance said they were alerted about the woman going into labour recently.
